Integrity

"Integrity is the state of being entire; completeness." ~Sherlock Dictionary

Why entire? Why complete? Integrity is having all the virtues in. Integrity is the soundness of all virtues. When you feel at peace in doing something good and doing the right things (right in God's eyes), you have integrity.

“Have the courage to say no. Have the courage to face the truth. Do the right thing because it is right. These are the magic keys to living your life with integrity.” ~W. Clement Stone

Proverbs 11:3
"The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity."

“Integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching.” ~Anonymous

I have read an article which stated an example: Integrity is when you don't get paper clips, coupon bonds and such for personal use from your office/workplace without permission from the higher authority or more so, without paying for it. Because you don't own it, it is considered stealing. If you can't be trusted with small things, how can you be trusted with bigger things, right?

Proverbs 13:6
"Righteousness guards the man of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner."

“Purity of heart is blooming the same colors in the middle of the wilderness when no one sees you.” ~Vanna Bonta

“Integrity is what we do, what we say, and what we say we do” ~Don Galer

It is not just by actions alone or by words alone. But it is by putting into actions the truth that we believe in and the good things we say and share to others.

Just like 'double standard', you don't do what you don't want others doing. For example, if you say you don't like cheating, you should never do it yourself.

“Never separate the life you live from the words you speak.” ~Paul Wellstone

As what the Golden Rule states: "Do not do unto others what you don't want others do unto you."

Titus 2:7-8
"In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us."

“My father was very strong. I don't agree with a lot of the ways he brought me up. I don't agree with a lot of his values, but he did have a lot of integrity, and if he told us not to do something, he didn't do it either.” ~Madonna

“It is easier to cope with a bad conscience than with a bad reputation.” ~Friedrich Nietzsche

True. When you have destroyed your name/reputation, you have to prove yourself all over again and this time, it will be stricter because all eyes will be on you and every move you make will be watched. One mistake and you'll prove them right with their accusations about you.

Proverbs 10:9
"The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out."

“One of the truest tests of integrity is its blunt refusal to be compromised.” ~ Chinua Achebe

When you are standing on solid ground, you know deep down in yourself that you will never compromise the Truth about doing the good and the right things. That is integrity.

“No one will question your integrity if your integrity is not questionable.” ~Nathaniel Bronner Jr.

“Integrity is not a conditional word. It doesn't blow in the wind or change with the weather. It is your inner image of yourself, and if you look in there and see a man who won't cheat, then you know he never will.” ~John D. MacDonald

Matthew 22:16
..."Teacher," they said, "we know you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are.

It is better to be envied because of your goodness than to be envied because of wickedness.

Proverbs 24:1-6
1 Do not envy wicked men,
do not desire their company;

2 for their hearts plot violence,
and their lips talk about making trouble.

3 By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;

4 through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.

5 A wise man has great power,
and a man of knowledge increases strength;

6 for waging war you need guidance,
and for victory many advisers.

“The strength of a nation derives from the integrity of the home.” ~Confucius

Change starts within ourselves. I've heard people complain about the government but everything should start individually.

Romans 14:13
"Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way."

Romans 2:1
"You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things."

Romans 2:3
"So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment?"

Matthew 7:2
"For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

Romans 14:10
"You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat."

1 Corinthians 4:5
"Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God."

Always walk with integrity. Be a GOD pleaser. God has given you wisdom to show restraint from wickedness and do the right and good things in God's eyes, whatever your heart's motives are. Be a good model of what you think and say. Ask for God's discernment and always humble yourself to God.
