The Best of You

(image from traveladventures)

I was in the jeepney earlier when I had a very clear revelation and conviction. Before, I would just usually want to be my best during Sundays at church. I believe that everything you will see in me physically is a reflection of God's love, grace and glory. I am nothing without GOD.

Psalm 3:3 (NIV)
"But you are a shield around me, O LORD;
you bestow glory on me and lift [b] up my head."

Psalm 84:11 (NIV)
"For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless."

But then I had more to it today. Everyday we are standing infront of God so we must be our best everyday. We don't have to wear make-ups or dress extravagantly to look our best. We just have to show the best of what God has given us. Before we want to look the best for our lovers, we should look our best for our God. God deserves our best because He gave it to us. We do not know when is the second coming of Jesus Christ but you would want to be your best when you finally face God, don't you?

Best in everything. Best in all aspects.

Numbers 18:29 (NLT)
"Be sure to give to the Lord the best portions of the gifts given to you."

Philippians 1:9-11 (NIV)
"And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God."

2 Timothy 2:15-16 (NIV)
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly."

Examine yourself everyday.

2 Timothy 3:1-5
"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them."

You must rate yourself everyday. Here are some guidelines that will help you...

Galatians 5:13-26
13You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature[a]; rather, serve one another in love. 14The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."[b] 15If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

It's all up to you now.

Make an impact. Make a difference. Make a ripple. Tip the scale.

GOD BLESS YOU!

ALL THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD ALONE!!!

P.U.S.H.

When you feel GOD's love, OVERFLOW!
