Make a Difference

This is one of my weakest days. There are some things that others don't know what I'm feeling because I hide my emotions. I always show my smiles and laughters but deep inside I'm hurting when I'm alone and thinking. For one, I'm hurting because of someone (confidential). Second, I'm hurting because not much friends asked about how my dad is doing (friends who are close to me, of course), instead his "bad influence" friends were the ones who took the time to visit him at the hospital and bring him food. He even smiled and laughed a lot when they were around. I know some of you may understand why it hurts especially in times like these. Third, my dad couldn't remember me. It really hurts. My dad needs your prayers for his complete recovery from his retrogade amnesia. He has little blood clots in his brain that can be intervened by medicines, as what the doctors said. Also, he hadn't eaten all day.

Our GREAT PHYSICIAN is our Healer. My faith is in HIM alone.

One of my loneliest days but one friend took time to exchange texts with me for quite some time. She asked me a lot about me and my family. She even sent me messages that gave me strength and hope...

Your Hand is strong enough to catch me when I fall. Your Heart is good enough to see me through it all. And when the fire burns, when the oceans fall, I hear You sound Your call. I'll let the curtains fall for the Greatest One of all.
~lines from the song "The Greatest ONE of All"

Dad: This is the way things are. You can't change nature.
Remy: Change is nature, dad. The part we can influence. And it starts when we decide. (turns away)

Dad: Where are you going?

Remy:...Forward.

~from the movie "Ratatouille"

Erratum: When the oceans roar.
~from the song "Still"

While I was wondering earlier where have all my friends gone, a very loyal friend suddenly gave me powerful text messages. A friend who I haven't seen for some time now because she also has been undergoing a huge trial in her life. I know she feels what I feel. I understand her pains and sufferings. I understand now how tough it is for other people who go through the most difficult trials in the world. Simply because I'm undergoing in one. I always try to put myself in others' shoes because that way, I can feel their pain and know what they're going through. And so I can help and support them in the simplest way I can.

My morning devotions today (not full article)...

Make a Difference

Read: 2 Chronicles 22:10-12

You may not see yourself as a woman of influence. You may feel shy about sharing your faith with your kids, friends, family or coworkers. But there are many ways you can make a difference. You can refuse to give in to peer pressure or refuse to give up on a prodigal. You can speak out in the voting booth or on the editorial page. When you stand up for GOD's standards, you might be surprised - like a small pebble thrown into a large body of water, your words, actions and prayers can ripple outward if you muster up the courage to take a stand.

I am sorry to hear that things aren't going so well for you. Challenges become a degree or two greater when the people you expect to listen and help, are nowhere to be found. Sharing burdens really helps to get through them. God didn't put you or me on this earth alone, because He expects us to interact with others. That is His plan.

I am glad to hear that your friend took the time to send you kind text messages. A nice thought or kind word can make such a big difference sometimes. I will be praying for you, and for your situation.

It is nice to know that I am not the only one in our Family that gets disappointed by "friends".

God bless you sis!!

((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) I thought about the tax collectors, prostitutes and such that our Lord Jesus hung out with when you said your dad's friends of 'reputation' showed the love of Christ to him...((hugs)) I'm kinda going through something similar as you are right now with friends...so I wanted to let you know Jesus keeps reminding me He is MY best friend...so I rest in that knowledge..
