Know How to Fight Sinful Addiction

As I was reading last night, this dawned on me and struck my heart that I just feel the need to share it. In a world full of temptations and negative thoughts, we need to be able to get the message out there.

I have lived in sin. I know what it's like. Temptations never go away as the enemy never stops. But GOOD NEWS! GOD CARES AND HE IS THE ONLY ANSWER!

A Warning:

1 Peter 5:8
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

A Promise:

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

My friend. whatever you're facing right now. Whether it is a temptation or sinful addiction and you feel that it is getting in your nerves, you are not alone. I have been there. Do not be afraid to face and fight it. If you need help, I am here as your trusted friend. You can leave any concern you have in my chat box on my sidebar. I am here to help, not to judge nor condemn. No one is worthy of condemnation because of all us were forgiven because of GOD's compassion and grace.

GOD IS WITH YOU! HE IS OUR VERY PRESENT HELP ALWAYS!

This image is from my friend, Katy. She was a cutter but was saved by JESUS CHRIST. Now, she is taking up Psychology so she could be a counselor for teens who suffer from depression or self-injury. I met her at MySpace (when I still had an account there) in their prayer ministry "Army On Its Knees." You can visit her by clicking the image above.

I've just finished reading "Blade Silver" by Melody Carlson and it's about a sinful addiction of cutting one's self. Like Melody, I also have a heart for youths because I've had awful teenage years. Here is a line from this book...

"Remember that it takes a good habit to replace a bad habit."

I'm reading a book now entitled "Glimpses of an Invisible GOD for Teens" manuscript written by Vicki Kuyper and Stephen Parolini and compiled by Angie Kiesling. I highly recommend this mini book. It's a great help. I just need to share a paragraph...

"The first step to battling any addiction is admitting there's a battle. Is there any area in your life that is increasingly out of your control? Ask GOD for help, but don't stop there. Confess what you're doing to a trusted friend or counselor who'll hold you accountable. Get the help you need, even if it's difficult or embarrassing. It's a battle worth winning."

When I got transformed and temptations would come, I always sing "For the joy of the LORD is my strength."

ALL THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD ALONE!!!

P.U.S.H.

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD! KEEP BELIEVING!

Make an impact. Make a difference. Make a ripple. Tip the scale. Be a blessing. Be different.

GOD BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY! GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU - NO MATTER WHAT!

When you feel GOD's love, OVERFLOW!
