Are You A Real Christian? A Christian Soul Needs Your Friendship and Encouragement


Are you a Christian? Here is one of your chances to prove it. A friend of mine who is a former Muslim needs love, friendship and encouragement from you.

She has lots of Muslim friends in her blog. You know what I admire about them? They are the ones searching for souls to be won.

Let's not overlook this opportunity. JESUS always looked after the unlovable. The unnoticed. HE always wanted to be around sinners such as law offenders and prostitutes. The sick, the needy, the widows, the abused. We should see everyone as an opportunity to share GOD's love even if it means lots of patience and perseverance. I know that real Christians are known for their love and patience. Here is an opportunity for you to do your calling.

I believe in marriage and family. I do not agree with divorce. I feel strongly about this. Why? Because I am a living testimony of an intact family who have survived the walls of destruction caused by the enemy. But whoever said that we cannot look up inspite of these walls? They are just walls. They do not cover up the sky. They can never cover up our GOD.

Now, I am pleading for your cooperation with this. When you go to her blog, it may not encourage you but you may and can encourage her. You can make an impact on someone's life right now. I very much love this friend of mine and my desire is to see beautiful changes in her life.

I am not rushing because I know GOD's Perfect Will has its own Perfect Timing. I still believe in GOD's faithfulness. I still believe that GOD created marriage and marriage is sacred. I have opened my eyes to the fact that with GOD, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. And what GOD joined, only GOD can separate. HE has HIS own Purpose for everything.

I really hope for you to encourage her as what a real Christian does. She needs Christian friends right now. I will not share complete details but please visit her blog and leave encouragements for her spiritual walk. More so, give her your love and friendship. Be patient.

Chain Email

I received an email today from my godmother. Honestly, I do not like chain emails (no offense, ninang). hehehe! Keep them coming though. hehehe! Since this is a beautiful story, I'll just post it here so that everyone can read it. I'll just focus on the message that was preached here. A truth revealed.

A young man had been to Wednesday Night Bible Study.

The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice

The young man couldn't help but wonder, 'Does God still speak to people?'

After service, he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message.
Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways.

It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, 'God...If you still speak to people, speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey.'

As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk.

He shook his head and said out loud, 'God is that you?' He didn't get a reply and started on toward home.

But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk.

The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli.

'Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk.' It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.

As he passed Seventh Street , he again felt the urge, 'Turn Down that street.'

This is crazy he thought, and drove on past the intersection.

Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street ..

At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh.

Half jokingly, he said out loud,

'Okay, God, I will.'

He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi- commercial area of town. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either. The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed..

Again, he sensed something, 'Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street.' The young man looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat.

'Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid.' Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk.

Finally, he opened the door, 'Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the door and I will give them the milk If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for some thing, but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here.'

He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, 'Who is it? What do you want?' Then the door opened before the young man could get away

The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He looked like he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. 'What is it?'

The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, 'Here, I brought this to you.' The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway.

Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his face.

The man began speaking and half crying, 'We were just praying . We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk.'

His wife in the kitchen yelled out, 'I ask him to send an Angel with some. Are you an Angel?'

The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face. He knew that God still answers prayers.

Now I remember how Pastor Johnny Touzet has an almost similar testimony about GOD. He was able to win souls for CHRIST in this way.

Anyway, that's it. hehehe! Although, I gotta say, be careful with the voices. Test every spirit, as it is written.

The Forgotten Commandment

Since I deal with teens, I must say that one of their biggest struggles is honoring their parents. I know what they're all going through. Why? I've been a rebel myself. I've struggled with respecting and obeying my parents. I always wanted my way. Even when my sister didn't want what my parents had to say, she always managed to stay silent and obey. I am different. I always talked back at my parents. I disobeyed a lot of their orders. I wanted my way. I did it my way, as the song goes. hehehe!

Until GOD let me see a different life. A beautiful life. When I was transformed, I still had struggles but now, I can control myself more and GOD helps me a A LOT. Thinking of pleasing GOD is my top motivation in obeying, respecting and honoring my parents. I have 2 sisters. I am the only offspring left with my parents. I was the rebel and I was the one left with them. Ain't that neat? hehehe! I enjoy being with them. Although, sometimes, it can be challenging. hehehe!

The Forgotten Commandment (Part One)
Exodus 20:12
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you.

During the early 1970s, I worked with teenagers in a ministry in Boulder, Colorado. One of my favorite messages to communicate to the teens was titled "How to Raise Your Parents." Actually I camouflaged the message behind the title. The real challenge was to obey God's commandment "Honor your father and your mother."

Every summer, dozens of young men and women would leave that particular message in tears, motivated to do a better job honoring their parents.
One young man handed me a note that affirmed the message of honoring parents:
I appreciated your talk today. It brought back some memories I have about my dad that I would like to share with you. Every day that I can remember, my dad took me and hugged me and kissed me good night.
I was with him the night he died. That night he hugged me and kissed me and told me he loved me, and I was too embarrassed to tell him that I loved him.
He died of a heart attack two and one-half hours later after I went to bed. I remember standing over his body saying, "Dad, I love you." But it was a couple of hours too late.

This article really made me cry. I love my parents and if I have to live my life over again, I'd still choose to have them. If not for them, I won't be the person I am now. When I look at other people, they have different parental upbringing. My parents were strict because they want the best for me - for us. Now, I understand and I really appreciate everything. I'll listen to them more and honor them because they were established by GOD to be my parents.

A Wonderful Gift


Now, I have to say, I am humbled. Deeply.

When I started this blog, I had no idea that there were certain awards given by other Bloggers. It was such an honor for me when I was given my first award. Well, this blog, I should say. I can't take credit because the Holy Spirit was given to me to love and be displayed. My ultimate purpose for this blog is to glorify GOD and to share GOD's greatness, not only in my life, but in others, too.

I was amazed when I read Grace's comment today. When I was done with my latest post, I suddenly saw the award in my dashboard. I was speechless. But really, I do not expect to be given these awards. I truly understand why others do not accept awards. As they say, GOD promotes you and recognizes your service to HIM and to HIS children.

Thank you, Grace of We live to tell God's "Amazing Grace" for giving this award. It is very humbling. ALL THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD ALONE!!!

When I've read the book of Melody Carlson entitled "Blade Silver", I cried when I read this phrase.

Very short but very powerful. So much power. It's amazing. I've heard it so many times but the impact is so moving.

I received an email devotional from Max Lucado and this verse never left my mind...

John 9:3
..."but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life."

Sometimes, there are no other explanations but GOD's power to be glorified in every human being. There are times that I rationalize or analyze why someone is sick, ill or has a disease. The question remains...do you want GOD to be glorified through your sickness, illness or disease?

Moving on.....

I've had a flu yesterday. I was rationalizing again. Whether I sinned or what. I told myself, "GOD's grace is sufficient" and "GOD IS MY HEALER."

Then I was thinking what other people feel about GOD when they are sick. More so, when they are ill or have a disease. A contagious or even a deadly one. I thought of the people who have cancer, hepatitis, tuberculosis, etc. I already have a difficulty with my cold right now and I get sad and wanted to get well right away. I was thinking of GOD's healing. I was thinking how other people think of themselves and of their GOD with those deadly and contagious diseases. I know even when they show their smiling faces, when they're left alone, they feel sad and lonely. They think of when they are going to get well and completely be healed. I know because I want to get well NOW!

I just tell myself, "GOD's grace is sufficient", "for the work of GOD may be displayed in my life" and "By HIS stripes, I am healed."

Now, my dear friend, let us unite and pray for all those people who are physically weak, sick and ill right now. You are created to worship GOD but you are also created to love others. Let us intercede for the strength (emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual) and healing of those who need it.

GOD BLESS YOUR BEAUTIFUL HEART FOR CARING AND LOVING OTHERS!!!

The Ever-Loving FATHER and The Unlimited GOD


This morning, brother Dionisio Espiritu preached about the Parable of the Prodigal/Lost Son. It's so powerful. He is truly an anointed man of GOD.

I've read and heard this parable for so many times already from when I was little until today. The Bible truly gives you new insights every time.

Brother Dionisio Espiritu entitled this "The Ever-Loving FATHER" and it truly fits. He preached slowly and clearly.

I could relate to the prodigal son since I was a backslider myself. I rebelled from GOD and from my parents. I know how it feels that's mostly why I do not have a difficulty in wanting to win more souls for CHRIST because I was a lost soul, too. I believe all of us was lost (for Christians).

If you are a backslider or rebel right now, GOD is waiting for you. HE is not forcing you but HE is patiently waiting for you to come back home.

I will not focus on the Prodigal Son though. I will focus on the Older Son.

When the prodigal son came back, he was determined to unclothe himself as the "son" and be a servant instead. I realized that's what I did when I came back home to GOD. I was willing to be a servant because my FATHER deserves it.

The older son got jealous when the father gave the lost son a robe, ring and sandals, killed a fattened calf and celebrated. Instead of getting upset, the father pleaded for his older son to celebrate with them.

The older son's answer: 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'

He was so angry and jealous that he even called his brother "this son of yours" and didn't acknowledge his brother as his sibling.

'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'

For those who are in the LORD right now, we are the older son. We are in our FATHER's home. When you go back to the older son's answer, he stated "slaving and never disobeyed." Spiritually, this means purity in religion. We should not be in a religion. We are in a relationship with our FATHER. HE wants to have a personal and intimate relationship with us.

You are not a slave. You are GOD's child. You own everything that your FATHER owns. You have to know your FATHER intimately.

Our FATHER can give us everything. Don't limit GOD because HE is an Unlimited GOD!

I began to think about my testimonies of GOD's greatness, faithfulness and love. All of the beautiful gifts HE has given me, giving me and will certainly give me. GOD IS SO AWESOME!!!

Keep believing. Keep growing in GOD. Grow in your personal relationship with HIM.

Talk about GOD


Earlier, I was pondering on my trip with Julie Anne last Thursday.

I suddenly thought of how she talked about other people. Her friends and cousins. Mostly just describing them. Then I thought how many people in this earth would be talking about somebody unknowingly.

I thought what if right at that very moment someone was talking about me to others. Might be just describing me or complimenting. Of course, I want to be known as a Godly person. Whether someone would insult or compliment me because I talk about GOD a lot, it's all okay. My desire is to be a salt and light to the lost. I cannot save them but I can guide them to the One who could save them - JESUS CHRIST.

Anyway...it all came down to one thought...I wonder how many people talk about GOD all the time. I wonder how many people praise and compliment GOD everyday.

Now, if you would think about it, you would absolutely like it if someone compliments you to others whether you know it or not. I know you would feel good about yourself. I'd leave you with one thought...Do you think GOD will be pleased if you talk about HIM to others with compliments, praise and worship everyday?

Invest on the Outside World

If you are a Christian, you should be in a church. Well, you are the church.

When I was younger, I thought it was enough to just perform and serve inside the congregation of believers. I backslid. GOD won me back! This time, it's different.

I have learned along my journey in this path called faith that it is not enough to be a servant in the church. Being a servant of GOD is being able to serve inside and outside the congregation.

Yes, you don't conform to the world. You focus on conforming to our FATHER.

We are given the Great Commission.

Matthew 28:16-20
The Great Commission
16Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them ina]">[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

And the Great Celebration - well, to me, that is. hehehe!

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

It is not wrong to fellowship with your fellow believers. It is also not wrong to fellowship with people outside your congregation. In fact, the Bible assures us that the heaven rejoices when one unbeliever becomes a believer. We do not have to conform to worldly things. We do not have to agree with everything they say and do. That's why we are asked to be meek and wise with our words and actions. If you are a Christian who just focuses inside the church, go outside and share GOD to others. Invest on them. Invest time on the small things that matter to them. Invest effort on the small things that they love. Invest Invest Invest. I tell you, you will never regret the investment on the spiritual realm. Before you can be a leader, you must first be a servant of all.

An Abundant Life

Yesterday, as I've posted the other day, I went to Manila with my friend, Julie Anne, for more than 10 years now. All expenses paid. She asked me to accompany her to inquire for a student visa. We were able to share things that happened and are happening in our lives. We walked a lot because we looked for the company. Funny. We were so tired. When lunch time came, we ate a few of my favorite foods in the world. hehehe! When you are very tired physically, you learn to appreciate the value of food. We went to eat at McDonald's. We ordered chicken with rice and gravy, iced tea, Coke for her and we both had caramel sundae. Yum!!! We enjoyed each piece that went in our mouths. My sister and our common friend met with us to watch a movie. Free tickets!!! The tickets were provided by my sister. We watched "17 again" because they chose it. hehehe! It's a nice movie with a lesson. It also has comedy in it. After the movie, my sister and I ate ice cream. Our friends didn't want to eat. My favorite ice cream flavor...vanilla!!! I enjoyed it. I was too happy to not enjoy it. I was thinking of Cody. His favorite flavor, too. After that, Julie Anne and I went to the bus terminal to go back home. It was a long and tiring ride. It was a good one though coz I enjoyed the whole day. Before the day started, I already begun thinking that it is going to be a great day and I refused to feel anything that will ruin it. When we stopped over for food along the way, I ate one of my favorite foods again, pork barbecue and rice. It surely was a great day! Greater than I've expected.

I arrived at around 10:30 in the evening. Cody and I chatted at 11:00. I was amazed. Cody is becoming a very beautiful person. A better one. I won't share details. hehehe! It's personal but what I'm very thankful for is that we're both growing together as an individual and as a couple. We will celebrate our first year anniversary tomorrow. Yay! ALL FOR AND FROM GOD!

I woke up this morning with a stiffed neck. Something was battling in me - to put menthol plasters on it or to have faith as what I've used to do before. Eversince I've been transformed, I started believing that GOD is really our Healer. I started acting on my faith, not just say it. I've proved HIS power plenty of times. I told Cody about the stiffed neck and told him that I am going to put plasters on it. He disagreed. He encouraged me to use my faith. I did. After a few minutes, bye bye stiffed neck! So amazing. GOD IS AMAZING!

I believe I already have my "Promised Land" and I am using my faith to believe that fact. I claim Victory in every aspect of my life. IT IS ALL GOD! There is nothing impossible with HIM. JESUS CHRIST died for me (for you) to have an ABUNDANT LIFE!!!

Change: An insight from a 13-year old girl


Last night, my mom, sister and I were watching a game show called "Hole in the Wall." It is hosted by two famous comedians who were dressed as women. They portray a babysitter and a spoiled bratty girl. They have a show in this network wherein they portray these characters more. The brat always say, "whatever" "you're such a loser" and "ewwy" to her babysitter. Filipino slang for babysitter is yaya.



Hole in the Wall is adapted from the US.

As the game ended, "Yaya (babysitter) and Angelina (the brat)" was making a scene wherein Yaya wants Angelina to take a bath. The brat agreed. Although, it was unusual since Angelina never liked taking a bath as what Yaya said. Angelina agreed to bathe in one condition - that Yaya would go first. Yaya also had one condition and that is for Angelina to stop calling her a loser. Angelina said "whatever."

Yaya stood on the play area. It was funny coz she held onto the styrofoamed wall so she didn't fall off the water. Angelina began saying, "you're so galing, yaya!" which means "you're so good/amazing/great, yaya!" Angelina finally said, "you're such a winner, yaya!"

My sister and I were laughing so hard.

After the game show, we ate dinner. As we were eating dinner, we talked about the game show again. Then my sister suddenly said, "things change." Then I said, "people change." So now, the loser is a winner.

Whoever you are, whatever you're going through, remember that PEOPLE CHANGE.

Awful things become beautiful. THINGS CHANGE. Rude people become great. PEOPLE CHANGE.

i stand in awe of YOU

I am happy. I stand in awe of GOD everyday not because of certain emotions but because whatever emotion I'm feeling, HE is always there.

This is a beautiful day. All days are beautiful because all days are created by our FATHER.

I did not let the enemy ruin my GOD-filled day.

First, I've patiently worked today and finished all my tasks excellently. I was pleased because my accomplishments were organized and neatly done. IT IS ALL GOD!

Second, after I was done with my work, I went upstairs at the Computer Room to check out on my sister. She was typing my mom's book for pre-schoolers. She played some songs on the computer. There were 2 songs that struck me. Two of my most favorite songs in the world. Yes, I'll share them with you...hehehe!

FIRST SONG


My mom reminded me of the "newspaper thingy" that she assigned me to do for the renovation of the whiteboards. So I went down to my aunt's office to borrow some scissors. When I got there, I saw something on my uncle's table. Pieces of white coupon bond stapled together and written on the front "Drawing Notebook" so I tried to look inside. I was in awe. My little cousin aged 9 drew on two of the pages already. First page, there was a tree with a heart at the center and she entitled it "Tree of Love." Second page, there was a sun smiling and shining and she entitled it "Sun of Lightness and Happiness." It made me smile outside and inside. When I went back up, this was the song playing...

SECOND SONG


While listening to this song, I was thinking of my little cousin. Her name is Genesis. I was thinking of a certain incident when I overheard her talking about me and something that I've shared before at a cell meeting. We used to have a Children's Cell Group but stopped because of my work and Jergens went to college. Jergens has a heart for little children. I invited Genesis to our Youth Cell Meeting last week and she joined us. Their family used to go to church but stopped long ago coz of unknown reasons. My mom and I desire for them to attend again. Yesterday, my other aunt shared with us after lunch how Genesis really wants to go to church and how she's convincing the little girl to go with her instead. We all attend in the same church. Please pray for them. My desire is to win all my relatives to CHRIST. I am in awe of the heart of this little child. I admire her for her hunger in GOD's Word. She is also a good listener and very eager to hear GOD's Word.

I thank GOD that HE let us arrive home safely before it rained heavily. Then I checked my email. I received an email from a Blogger friend. She is not an active Christian yet but I saw her hungry heart. She has a willing heart and an open mind who hungers for GOD. When I saw her email, my heart soared. I was filled with joy.

Stay focused

We can get lost in the busyness of our lives. Our priorities easily become distorted and we begin to linger through each day without true purpose. Darkness settles in while we are not looking. We need to step back towards the light, towards our first love, the first moment when we met Christ. As a matter of fact we need to run back to the light and to the greatest love we have ever known. Jesus wants to be the most important thing in our life. We are His and without Him life is filled with confusion, guilt and doubt. He brings hope, joy, and peace to our souls.

GOD Will Take You Back Always

I'd like to encourage you that GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU - NO MATTER WHAT! NO IF'S, NO AND'S, NO BUT'S! Are you a backslider or someone who is suffering from trials? Don't fret. Don't be afraid. Don't worry. GOD WILL TAKE YOU BACK ALWAYS! This is HIS Promise. Our GOD is a PROMISE KEEPER! HE will never leave you, forsake you nor condemn you.

Know How to Fight Sinful Addiction

As I was reading last night, this dawned on me and struck my heart that I just feel the need to share it. In a world full of temptations and negative thoughts, we need to be able to get the message out there.

I have lived in sin. I know what it's like. Temptations never go away as the enemy never stops. But GOOD NEWS! GOD CARES AND HE IS THE ONLY ANSWER!

A Warning:

1 Peter 5:8
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

A Promise:

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

My friend. whatever you're facing right now. Whether it is a temptation or sinful addiction and you feel that it is getting in your nerves, you are not alone. I have been there. Do not be afraid to face and fight it. If you need help, I am here as your trusted friend. You can leave any concern you have in my chat box on my sidebar. I am here to help, not to judge nor condemn. No one is worthy of condemnation because of all us were forgiven because of GOD's compassion and grace.

I've just finished reading "Blade Silver" by Melody Carlson and it's about a sinful addiction of cutting one's self. Like Melody, I also have a heart for youths because I've had awful teenage years. Here is a line from this book...

I'm reading a book now entitled "Glimpses of an Invisible GOD for Teens" manuscript written by Vicki Kuyper and Stephen Parolini and compiled by Angie Kiesling. I highly recommend this mini book. It's a great help. I just need to share a paragraph...

"The first step to battling any addiction is admitting there's a battle. Is there any area in your life that is increasingly out of your control? Ask GOD for help, but don't stop there. Confess what you're doing to a trusted friend or counselor who'll hold you accountable. Get the help you need, even if it's difficult or embarrassing. It's a battle worth winning."

When I got transformed and temptations would come, I always sing "For the joy of the LORD is my strength."

One of my favorite lines that I tell myself whenever praise and worship comes is "praise my pathway to victory" and I got this from Darlene Zschech. Whenever my heart is troubled or not ready to sing worship, I tell myself that GOD deserves my faithfulness and my full worship. It's not about me. Truly, HE gives me joy and peace everytime. It's amazing.

GOD has many names. We have Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom...One of my favorites is Jehovah Rapha which means GOD is our Healer. I was reading an email that was passed to me earlier. Some people get blinded by too much pessimism of this world that they forget to look up. GOD IS THE CURE! That is the Truth I know.

Are You Burdened? C'mon read this post...

and be encouraged!!!

This has been a tough day. My bloodiest day (literally) because of my period. hehehe! I know I could be gross at times. hehehe! Anyway, today I was struggling mentally and repeatedly I was silently telling myself to capture every thought and make it obey CHRIST. So negative thoughts stopped. I don't know about you but I am an emotional person. I cry because of movies, articles or books. Most of the time. Today is my emotional day. I am burdened with some desires that I haven't gotten yet. I admit I am becoming impatient and sad about it. I could discern the still, small voice though to be patient, keep waiting and keep believing. I needed help. I know I would get it from GOD, as what I always expect from HIM.

Cody left to sleep without knowing what my burdens are. I told him I needed help but I was busy doing my laundry so he signed out before I could tell him my burdens. He was too sleepy. After laundry, I committed my time to reading (my good habit). I LOVE reading! Oh the good stuff! First, I decided to read a book excerpt by Melody Carlson that I got from her website. Second, I chose to open my email and check if there are new email subscriptions. There are so I committed myself to read my favorite devotional "Moments Together for Couples" by one of my most favorite couples. A very beautiful insight.

The Blessing of Burdens
2 Corinthians 12:10
Therefore I am well content with weaknesses,...with distresses,...with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Sadhu Sundar Singh, a Hindu convert to Christianity, became a missionary to his people in India. Late one afternoon Sadhu was traveling on foot through the Himalayas with a Buddhist monk. It was bitterly cold and the wind felt like sharp blades slicing into their skins. Night was fast approaching when the monk warned Sadhu that they were in danger of freezing to death if they did not reach the monastery before darkness fell.
Suddenly, on a narrow path above a steep precipice, they heard a cry for help. At the foot of the cliff lay a man, fallen and badly hurt. The monk looked at Sadhu and said, "Do not stop. God has brought this man to his fate. He must work it out for himself. Let us hurry on before we, too, perish."
But Sadhu replied, "God has sent me here to help my brother. I cannot abandon him."
The monk continued trudging off through the whirling snow, while the missionary clambered down the steep embankment. The injured man's leg was broken and he could not walk, so Sadhu made a sling of his blanket and tied the man on his back. With great difficulty he climbed back up the cliff, drenched by now in perspiration.
Doggedly, Sadhu made his way through the deepening snow and darkness. It was all he could do to follow the path. But he persevered, though faint with fatigue and overheated from exertion. Finally, he saw ahead the lights of the monastery.
Then, for the first time, Sadhu stumbled and nearly fell. But not from weakness. He had stumbled over an object lying in the snow-covered road. Slowly he bent down on one knee and brushed the snow off the object. It was the body of the monk, frozen to death.
Years later a disciple of Sadhu's asked him, "What is life's most difficult task?"
Without hesitation Sadhu replied: "To have no burden to carry."

Prayer:
Ask God to enable you to view life's challenges as a means of serving others and of strengthening your muscles of faith.

My Testimonies Belong to GOD


Busy week and I've been sleeping late because of reading beautiful books and chatting with one of the most beautiful persons in the world - my Cody. I'm glad that inspite of my period symptoms and sleeping late, I still manage to go to work this whole week. No absences. I am testifying of GOD's Strength.

I have been struggling mentally with my thoughts. Amazingly, GOD is my Comforter and my Solution to every problem. HE is the Key to every struggle. I am testifying of GOD's Grace.

There is no month that GOD stopped giving my salary on time. Now, I've got new books to read. hehehe! I am testifying of GOD's Provision.

I've already prepared for my preaching notes last Monday for the cell meeting yesterday. As much as possible, I try to ask for GOD's Wisdom for preachings that come from HIM. New insights every week. But as days passed by after Monday, my heart wasn't at peace with the topic that has been prepared. Then I stumbled upon one of my favorite articles which is one of my posts entitled "Think GODLY Thoughts" and GOD impressed upon my heart that that is the topic I should share. My heart was at peace by then. I changed our routine. I purposedly begun with the preaching first before the testimony portion because Elisha had an appointment at their church. When she informed that she still has 1 more hour left, we still had time to share our testimonies for the week. The youths enjoy that portion a lot coz they all have the chance to share their amazing testimonies about GOD. Talk about amazing. Those youths are few of my rewards in this ministry. Come to think of it, I just realized that almost all of their testimonies are connected to me. Before, I wanted to quit my cell ministry but GOD told me not to do so. Now GOD is rewarding my sacrifices and I'm giving HIM all the glory. First, my youngest sister testified about how her prayer is answered because I read her book by Melody Carlson and that I committed to buy a charger for her phone. It has been weeks now since she last used her phone. Justine shared about how she remembered one of my preachings about love (yes that matters to me - simple things make up the best things). Elisha shared about how she has been mentally struggling this week, too. She was truly amazed that my preaching is what she really needed. She kept on thanking me. These princesses are one of my rewards from GOD. Also, I want to acknowledge my Blogger friends who faithfully read and comment. I will catch up tomorrow as I am very tired tonight. I just don't want to procrastinate with my blogposts. You all are one of my beautiful rewards from our FATHER. Thank DAD for my beautiful family. And to my Cody - my beautiful blessing from GOD. We're almost one year very soon. A year of love and commitment! Long distance is never easy but GOD is gracious and patient. I thank GOD for giving Cody the patience in every aspect of me. I am testifying of GOD's Favors, Rewards and Blessings.

Now, I am very much into a good habit (I'm replacing a bad habit). My good habit is reading books and articles. I want to read one book to another - nonstop. hehehe! Books and articles that will edify my soul and spirit in order to glorify GOD alone. Books and articles from anointed people of GOD.

Last but the BEST, I am testifying of GOD HIMSELF. HE IS SO GREAT!!! HE COMPLETES ME. APART FROM GOD, I AM NOTHING!!! I am not perfect but HE IS PERFECT!

Think GODLY Thoughts

I've just read a post from one of my closest friends in Blogger, TBOO, entitled "My Mind Is Hurting Me!" You can go visit by clicking on it. So I must hand it out to her why I've remembered one of my most favorite articles by Max Lucado. A reminder of my mental struggles lately. As they say, "the mind is the battleground." TBOO, thank you for always being honest and courageous with your posts. You are such an anointed and humble young lady who is continuously growing in GOD. This post is inspired by her post. hehehe!

I am going to share an email devotional from Max Lucado sent last August 9, 2008. Yeah yeah yeah I'm just sharing it now. I believe that everyday, there is a spiritual warfare. Everyday, we can have mental struggles and Christians undergo so many trials but it is through articles like these that GOD is being shared and glorified. I am sharing this so you can carry the wonderful insights and sayings anywhere and anytime with you. If there are pocket Bibles, there are pocket words that we can carry in our hearts all the time in times of battle. I am sharing this because it hit my heart then and until now. I believe I am reminded of this again because of my mental struggles lately.

Thank GOD that HE uses people as HIS instruments such as TBOO and Max Lucado. Thank GOD that they're willing and available to be used by GOD.

Today’s thoughts are tomorrow’s actions.
Today’s jealousy is tomorrow’s temper tantrum.
Today’s bigotry is tomorrow’s hate crime.
Today’s anger is tomorrow’s abuse.
Today’s lust is tomorrow’s adultery.
Today’s greed is tomorrow’s embezzlement.
Today’s guilt is tomorrow’s fear.
Could that be why Paul writes, “Love … keeps no record of wrongs” (1 Cor. 13:5 NIV)?
Some folks don’t know we have an option.
Paul says we do: “We capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ” (2 Cor. 10:5).
Do you hear some battlefield jargon in that passage—“capture every thought,” “make it give up” and “obey Christ”? You get the impression that we are the soldiers and the thoughts are the enemies.
It was for Jesus. Remember the thoughts that came his way courtesy of the mouth of Peter? Jesus had just prophesied his death, burial, and resurrection, but Peter couldn’t bear the thought of it. “Peter took Jesus aside and told him not to talk like that.… Jesus said to Peter, ‘Go away from me, Satan! You are not helping me! You don’t care about the things of God, but only about the things people think are important’” (Matt. 16:22–23).
See the decisiveness of Jesus?
What if you did that? What if you took every thought captive? What if you took the counsel of Solomon: “Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life” (Prov. 4:23).
You are not a victim of your thoughts. You have a vote. You have a voice. You can exercise thought prevention. You can also exercise thought permission.
Change the thoughts, and you change the person. If today’s thoughts are tomorrow’s actions, what happens when we fill our minds with thoughts of God’s love? Will standing beneath the downpour of his grace change the way we feel about others?
Paul says absolutely! It’s not enough to keep the bad stuff out. We’ve got to let the good stuff in. It’s not enough to keep no list of wrongs. We have to cultivate a list of blessings. The same verb Paul uses for keeps in the phrase “keeps no list of wrongs” is used for think in Philippians 4:8: “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things” (RSV). Thinking conveys the idea of pondering—studying and focusing, allowing what is viewed to have an impact on us.
Rather than store up the sour, store up the sweet.
