Promotion

I chose this picture because stairs symbolizes promotion. Last week, I tried to go up the spiral stairs of a restaurant and now it made me think, how I thought that the steps would never end. Well, I was asking to myself when will the steps of the stairs end. Just like in life, we'll never know when the steps in life will end but as long as there are steps and there is life, we should go on moving forward and living because in time, we will be able to see GOD face to face. It was a prize to be able to reach the place of reward which was food. hehehe! After this life, we will also reach the reward of eternal life if we continue this race.

I have a busy life right now but I always give time to ministry and to the people I love. Well, maybe you're thinking I have been promoted in my work. Oh I have already. From a seller to the registrar. hehehe! But then, that is not what this post is all about.

Earlier, while I was taking care of the steamed nuts I was selling, (oh yeah I sell foods in the morning, at the same time a school registrar, then I work as a registrar in the afternoon) the pastor at one of our church branches, who is close to me, asked me to preach to the young people at their branch. I was surprised but delighted. Funny, my first reaction was, "I'm shy" hehehe! Now, this is a promotion unexpected but then I know needs a lot of preparation in the spiritual realm. I was pondering on it after he told me about it. I still need to ask, pray, discern, grow more and prepare more spiritually. One of the most anointed men in the Christian world was once featured in a book I've read and he whenever he preaches, he makes sure that the Holy Spirit is overflowing in him. And if not, he doesn't preach. He inspired me to do the same. I believe that anointing won't overflow if it is not overflowing in me. That is one of the reasons why I love the word overflow.

Now, all I would like to ask is for you to pray for me. For a revolution, revival and restoration. Continuous deliverance and spiritual growth. For spiritual overflow. Also, if you could just give me advices/counsels about preaching in front of a large crowd and also, if I should continue this kind of spiritual promotion. Because, I'd still want to discern more of what GOD wants for me not what I want for myself.

In advance, I am humbled by your comments. Also, I am very humbled by the past comments. Thank you for your faithfulness.

Oh and my dad's birthday is coming up. Would you please suggest any gift that I can consider and what I can cook for him? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I am so excited for everything that's happening in my family, lovelife and ministry. Just so amazing. GOD IS AMAZING!

Friends

GOD did not let the task end without giving me a word of refreshment.

Praying is not asking GOD to change your circumstance but to change your character.

I am going to focus on friends in this post. Before and after I was won by GOD, I've had friends who betrayed me and friends who left me in their good times and my bad times. I've had friends who treated me like trash when all I did was to look after their own good. I've had friends who have made so many excuses and leave me. I've had friends who slandered, gossiped and lied about me to others. I've had friends who have judged me. I've had friends who have insulted my spiritual gifts. GOD made me see that Paul has encountered that. One man who has been a true friend and has been gifted with the ministry of refreshment named Onesiphorus who never left him in times of trouble.

But then, throughout my task, GOD refreshed me. GOD changed me not my circumstances.

One of Onesiphorus' qualities is loving without expectations. GOD instilled in my heart to love others without expecting to love me back or to treat me like how I treat them. And that inspite of being mistreated, I shall remain loving and forgiving of others.

I would like to quote a line from the book of Charles R. Swindoll "Building Blocks of Biblical Character"

WANTED: Refreshing person.
Education required: None.
Experience needed: None.
Qualifications: Must sense
hidden needs; must love
without expectations; must
encourage.
Flatterers need not apply.

Do you have a friend who could qualify for this position? A friend who genuinely cares, whose words are uplifting and not judgmental, whose presence is like a refreshing spring shower?

I would not state names so I wouldn't seem unfair. hehehe! But then, GOD burdened my heart to be this kind of friend to everyone in my life.

One more line from the same book:

Though no one may notice our labors - labors which may seem insignificant in our world - the LORD doesn't forget them.

I am truly refreshed by this by my ever-perfect best FRIEND and my FATHER IN HEAVEN! Even if some friends fail to be nice to me or notice my existence in their lives, at least, I know that the LORD sees everything. And it's a beautiful revelation from HIM telling me that HE sees all the labors I'm doing and that HE loves me. I live only to please GOD.

BE AN ONESIPHORUS TO EVERYONE YOU MEET! WE ARE NOT PERFECT BUT OUR FOCUS DOESN'T LINGER ON THAT - IT SHOULD LINGER ON WHAT JESUS CHRIST DID ON THE CROSS!

Be a Joseph of GOD

Last January 11, 2009, our pastor (Pastor Windsor Cabrera) preached about "Increase in Times of Recession" then before he ended his sermon, he said, "In times of recession, GOD will raise up 'Josephs' who will be a blessing to the Household and the world." (Genesis 41:55,57)

These past few weeks, I have been reading more about Joseph in the Bible. It was not on purpose and I have realized that now when I've read an email sent to me by Prime Time Faith and Work saying...

Within a climate of doubt and uncertainty,
God is truly raising up "Josephs"
to provide solutions to societal problems

Are you called to be a Joseph?

My answer is "YES"

Are you, my dear friend?

I am so burdened. I hope you are, too. It is such a joy to be burdened in GOD's ministry. Be challenged.

Watch and Pray

Last 2007, I was called by GOD to do a certain task for 7 days. He revealed this to me in one of those days...

Matthew 26:41
"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak."

My morning devotions today said...

You wait. You watch. You pray. You want to perform some act of practical compassion. The truth is, sometimes the best action is the sideline action: Wait, watch and pray. GOD will guide you to action when the time is right.

Pray Through Daily

Many have criticized the old phrase "praying through," by
rightfully telling us that now there is no need to struggle in
prayer, since Jesus has already won the battle for us.

The devil is defeated, and any child of God has the right to
use the Name of Jesus and immediately be through the devil's
resistance and be heard by our Father God.

However, in life we must deal with things of the flesh and this
world, which can pry our focus off God.

Spiritually, we can grow dull. It can seem like we are in a
fog. Things are not clear. We do not have a note of victory and
triumph. We can, and must, press through these impediments.

Pray through -- until praying is not hard. Pray until you enjoy
it, because you have broken through the things of your flesh
and this world that would hold you back from enjoying daily
fellowship with your Father God.

Milk and Honey

Cody loves milk and I love honey. Cody has the color of milk and I have the color of honey. Isn't that compatible enough? hehehe!

That's my post. hahaha! just kidding!

I forgot to post this last Sunday. This happened last Sunday. hehehe! As I was sleeping, I was awakened by a preacher on tv. He is a known preacher here. He even ran for Presidency but didn't win. Pastor Eddie Villanueva. Well, I wasn't too awake. But then, as I was hearing him, the verse he stated never left my mind when I went back to sleep. Meaning I was half asleep then. Meaning when I'm half asleep, I usually forget everything I've read or heard before I go back to sleep. It is a beautiful revelation. A beautiful blessing of GOD's Word.

Numbers 14:8
If the LORD is pleased with us, He will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us.

I was even determined to read the whole story. I came across Joshua and Caleb. By then, I was determined to imitate the spirit they have. Of course, I desire more. I am not satisfied where I am now spiritually. As they say, spiritual discontentment is good. Complacency is awful.

Whenever I confess to GOD about my sins, the motivation I have for repentance is not the blessings that will follow but the face of GOD that I could discern. I think of how GOD is pleased whenever I obey HIM. But then, our GOD is a Rewarder so HE always let blessings overflow in our lives after repentance. Oh yeah...I am not perfect and I still sin but my outlook has been changed. It is not about the thought of being imperfect but the thought of what JESUS did for me on the Cross so I will strive to be perfect and to not sin because in due time, I will see how much GOD is pleased and will be saying, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Ain't that neat? Oh yeah!!!

A Good Gift from a Good GOD

This is the title of my morning devotions for today. From the title, I already felt the revelation. More was in the content though. It is about the good gift - LIFE.

I was amazed when I saw the Scripture for the Day...

For He is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto Him.

I celebrate life today! Joy and peace given to me by GOD. That's what I can celebrate. Everyday I celebrate. I celebrate the LOVE given by GOD. I celebrate the friendships - real ones. Real friends who never forget me in their good times. For the friendships I am currently building with my youths. It is so rewarding. Blogger friends who understands my busy-ness. Faithful readers and anonymous subscribers. I am very humbled with the trust you have given to me. My site tracker shows me everyday that so many have been anonymously subscribing to my blog which is such a fleeting feeling because I know, in my life, ALL THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD ALONE!!!

I celebrate my family. Everyone in our family who has been transformed for GOD's greater glory alone. In fact, I am so ecstatic! My dad will celebrate his birthday on Monday and my sisters will come home for the weekend to celebrate the special day. We are very much investing on our dad. I am so blissful with how my sisters turned out to be. They now know the real meaning of family and investment. When we say investment, we don't mean money. We mean time and efforts shared with each other. Money is useless when presence is always absent.

I celebrate my relationship with Cody. I am just in awe of GOD's goodness through Cody. He is such a precious gift I can't believe I deserve. In good times and bad, he is faithful. Before, I was worried that I might just settle on older men (5-10 years older) because I was worried that men my age or a year or two older than me aren't faithful enough. GOD truly answered my every desire. Few of those desires is a goodlooking, young but wise and faithful man. Yes goodlooking. hahaha! GOD gave me the best. Others may not see him the way I do but in GOD's eyes, he is goodlooking. And I was hesitant to marry an older man although I've had more older men pursue me rather than young ones. Good thing they stopped pursuing me. hahaha! I was faithfully pursued by Cody which is truly a blessing. A beautiful blessing. I am willing to wait for that marriage. Not the wedding but the marriage. Yes the marriage. A wedding happens for a day but a marriage should last a lifetime. And I know whom I desire to be married to and that's Cody alone. No one else will do.

I celebrate GOD! I celebrate the FATHER HE is to me. Not because of the blessings but because HE is so good! Not because of eternal life but because of HIMSELF! No other reason but GOD alone. GOD IS LOVE.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails...

Prayer

GOD is making me focus on prayer. I have read a chapter in a book today about prayer. It's just overwhelming in me. I will share some in that book tomorrow as I've left it at the school. When I was called to serve, I was very eager to pray. I've failed though. Now, GOD is calling me back and making me focus on prayer. I asked for GOD's help because I cannot do it alone. Now, I can only glorify GOD because of HIS neverending revelations and outstanding help through one of my hobbies - reading. Inspite of my busy schedule, I still and always find time to read. Even just a chapter in a book. Books that only edify the spirit.

One of the most powerful prayers I've ever read. I got it in one of my email devotionals today. Leaves of Life in Christianity.com

Eternal God, who hath weighed the mountains and measured the seas, I pray that I may not be satisfied to wait in idleness, and let thy wisdom pass away from me as the days. Steady me in my weakness, and reveal to me my strength as I draw near and ask of thee. Amen. ~Margaret Bird Steinmetz

Our prayers don't have to be lengthy. It just has to be genuine, direct and specific. Just like how a little child prays. But then, if it is lengthy, that will draw you to GOD's Holy Presence. Both types are very effective. I would not argue about them. Sometimes I do short prayers but long prayers take you to GOD's very Throne (a personal experience). Whichever of them is always heard by GOD.




Wouldn't it be nice to have public prayer rooms everywhere we go? And there'll be a sign on the door...

Ssshhh...Someone's Praying

But then...everywhere we are, we can pray. Prayer doesn't have to be in a certain place. You just need to have the heart to pray. Not to ask GOD to do what you want but to ask GOD's Perfect Will in your life.

GOD Owns Me

This is an amazing day!

No other reason but GOD alone. I don't need to have any reason to be happy. Knowing that GOD is my every perfect thing is enough.



Last night was a revival for me. I desired for more of GOD and HE has given HIMSELF wholeheartedly. HE gave me revelations that changed my outlook in the spiritual realm.

GOD's Silent Work

One of my young friends, Justine, talked to me the whole afternoon while I was working. She shared all her struggles with her classmates. I knew by then that the sermon I have ready for the cell meeting was prepared for her. But then, before that, I've had a revelation so I had to postpone the cell meeting on Thursday. GOD put me on another level of spiritual breakthrough again. Something that changed me. Truly, GOD's work is silent but full of impact. I've also learned that friendships grow when someone is willing to give time. Someone doesn't have to give advices all the time. Sometimes, just the presence and listening ear can ease someone else's broken heart. Then, Jergens came to hang out with us for some time. Then came Jerevy. The time Jerevy came, she was ill-tempered but then, I know that she just needs someone to talk to and before going home, she was already laughing. These friendships are worth the time and effort. Other friends would wait for me to contact them so they would start interacting with me but these friends are just craving for attention that sometimes it's overwhelming. I can be glad for both kinds of friends. Although, as Christians, we need to make the first move most of the time especially for non-Christians because they need attention. They need the love that comes from JESUS CHRIST. There are times that I just send a text message to everyone in my phonebook just to ask how they're doing. Some answer. Some don't. hehehe! But then, at least, they would feel they're important and being thought of by their friends. We need to make that first move. Why don't you do that today? Big things come from small things.

So anyway...

At the end of the day, GOD owns me. At the end of the day, I was totally changed. At the end of the day, I am happy. At the end of the day, GOD IS MORE THAN ENOUGH!

EVERY DAY IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY!

If you need to be changed, LOOK TO JESUS CHRIST. HE IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE.
