"Thine is the Kingdom..." by Max Lucado

This is oh-so-beautiful! This is real humility and submission to our everdearest FATHER.

There are certain mountains only God can climb. Ascend them and you’ll end up bruised and embarrassed. Stay away from them and you’ll sidestep a lot of stress. These mountains are described in the final phrase of the Lord’s prayer, “Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” A trio of peaks mantled by the clouds. Admire them, applaud them, but don’t climb them.
It’s not that you aren’t welcome to try, it’s just that you aren’t able. The pronoun is thine, not mine; thine is the kingdom, not mine is the kingdom. If the word Savior is in your job description, it’s because you put it there. Your role is to help the world, not save it. Mount Messiah is one mountain you weren’t made to climb.
Nor is Mount Self-Sufficient. You aren’t able to run the world, nor are you able to sustain it. Some of you think you can. You are self-made. You don’t bow your knees, you just roll up your sleeves and put in another twelve-hour day … which may be enough when it comes to making a living or building a business. But when you face your own grave or your own guilt, your power will not do the trick.
You were not made to run a kingdom, nor are you expected to be all-powerful. And you certainly can’t handle all the glory. Mount Applause is the most seductive of the three peaks. The higher you climb the more people applaud, but the thinner the air becomes. More than one person has stood at the top and shouted, “Mine is the glory!” only to lose their balance and fall.
“Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” What protection this final phrase affords. As you confess that God is in charge, you admit that you aren’t. As you proclaim that God has power, you admit that you don’t. And as you give God all the applause, there is none left to dizzy your brain.

How Do You Know When You Are Growing More in GOD?

When you are growing more in LOVE!

When I was younger, I would not really care whether our pets would die.

As the years go by, we have lost plenty of dogs along the way. And one cat.

Dogs died coz of killing or accidents. The cat got lost. I suspect it got killed coz it never came back. He used to come back but when the typhoon last year ruined our house, he never came back. He was around a few days after the typhoon.

So that didn't bother me yet.

My covenant for this year is to focus on GOD. Truly, HE is giving me every spiritual desire I have. Since I am growing more in HIM, I am also growing more in LOVE.

When our very first dog named Blessing died last February this year, I was sad. I even cried over it. Good thing I wasn't around to see her dead. She is the mother of all our dogs. She had about 5-10 batches of offspring. It was my first time to really cry over a dog. It was painful. She is a very loving dog.

I have learned to surrender the pain to GOD. In return, HE has given me a different level of spiritual breakthrough everyday. Now that I am in an amazing level, one of our puppies was ambushed by the dogs of our neighbor. It was awful. When I went out of the house because my mom was calling me, I saw the poor puppy lying on the rocky road with blood all over his neck. He couldn't move coz of the pain. He was crying every time we moved him. It was a terrible sight. I know you would say, "It's just a dog." Well, it's a living creature. It was coz he died. He just died. It's so painful. He barked so much coz of the pain. Then my mom and I just witnessed him die and I cried. We couldn't do anything but pray. We don't know any veterinarian. Vets are not too famous here. My mom and I were scared to try to heal him because we don't know what to do but we took some ice and put it on the bleeding neck then we took him inside our house. I am too attached now with every living thing I encounter. The way that I saw the murderers hid in their hideaway and one just stared at me with guilty eyes - just got me heartbroken. The dogs who killed him are envious of the puppies because our dogs/puppies get too eat a lot but they don't. Our dogs have the innocent eyes - all of them. Honestly, the neighbor's dogs have guilty and fierce eyes. One of them bit me when I was younger. GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR EVERYTHING!

This is one way of knowing that you are growing more in GOD...when you are loving more!

Really. It's the truth.

GOD gave me this heart and I am glad that HE gave me a heart that grows to love more each day. APART FROM GOD, I AM NOTHING!

How to Build a Stronger Prayer Connection

It shouldn't take a prayer movement to make you start praying.

Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

I have read a book about prayer saying that praying could happen anytime. You can pray silently in your mind even if you're doing something. When I've read that, I had a difficulty in understanding what it meant. Now that GOD willingly gave me the spiritual breakthrough that I so desire, I know what the author meant by praying whenever, wherever, whatever and however. You don't need to be speaking out loud. It is actually better to pray silently because you are 100% sure that GOD is the only One who can read your mind and hidden prayer is much better than babbling the same prayer in the streets as it is written. Hypocrisy is one of the struggles of a baby Christian. As what I've heard from a church leader that even if you're in a church for 10 years already but haven't changed for GOD yet, you still are a baby Christian. When I was transformed, I eagerly examined myself. I was not satisfied with every ugly emotion I was feeling. Self-righteousness and pride was a clear hindrance for me in growing so I studied and meditated on these topics by reading articles. I did what I had to do. GOD even gave me a boyfriend who is very humble indeed. That was so good of GOD, huh? I think so, too.

In every prayer comes a humble heart. A sweet surrender of an entire being. That is genuine.

Before, prayer was my weakness. GOD turned my world around. Now I know what real prayer means.

If you're a starter, don't be afraid to practice. Here is an article to help you learn how to pray to our FATHER. You can do it step by step. Whenever you want to take a leap of faith, learn from every step, one at a time. Indulge in everything you are learning. GOD is with you to lead you always.

Spiritual Blessings

This is my 401st post. YAY!

Okay this is a great day! More beautiful than yesterday. Then tomorrow will be more beautiful than today because GOD will be in it.

I have been burdened with so much thoughts about marriage because of a friend. On how I wish there is more that I can offer to help. Amazingly, GOD sent lots of email devotionals about marriage. I will send everything to her and wish that GOD will work through those email devotionals. Also, it is such a burden when all of my long-ago closest friends aren't in a Godly relationship. It is totally heartbreaking because I have been there. I have experienced almost every possible heartache in the world. So for now, I am doing everything I can to serve them as a soldier of CHRIST. Good thing I can surround myself with books that will edify and strengthen my spirit inspite of the worldly things around me everyday. I don't know how I came to this point but I am not willing to conform to the world.

Earlier, I have been thinking about Cody. I always do. hahaha! Well, this time it's different. Cody proposed to me last year if I will agree of him being a firefighter. I was alarmed. It is a heroic job but then it is dangerous so I instantly refused. GOD made me undergo lots of trials and refined my character. Now that I am focusing more on HIM, HE made me see that HIS ministry is our ministry, as well. HE made me see more about serving and investing on souls. Cody had been job hunting while he is currently employed. We have been praying about a job for him that is from GOD. Earlier, while I was praying for him, it struck me after a long time of forgetting it, "What if GOD wants him to be a firefighter?" After that, I pictured a wildfire. Not just a burning building but wildfires since there were lots of wildfires that happened in the past. And pictured Cody saving a life. I don't know if it's a vision of some sort but deep in my heart, I was yearning for a revelation that I am already quite discerning. Amazingly, as I was scrolling through blogs I'm following in my dashboard. I saw something that stunned and really stopped me from scrolling. The blogpost title is "WILDFIRE" with a picture of wildfire with it. I believe this is a revelation. One of the many revelations. GOD will reveal more as the days will pass. Cody and I have talked about it, too. We'll see what GOD will tell us in the future days to come.

Come to think of it, I am focusing more on the spiritual and I just do this by more worship, prayer and reading. I just really focus on GOD. I can't really explain how I came to this point and I think of how others will come to know GOD like this when I observe their faith. I just thought, "It really is intimacy with GOD." Every ministry will be useless without closer intimacy with GOD daily.

THIS DAY IS A CELEBRATION OF GOD'S GLORY! ALL THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD ALONE! HE MADE ME LIKE THIS. APART FROM GOD, I AM NOTHING! KEEP THE FIRE BURNING. LIKE COAL, FEED IT MORE TO KEEP IT BURNING. GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE. HE NEVER STOPS!

Your Mate is NOT Your Enemy

Divorce has been widespread and that is a fact. I shall be positive though that it will stop growing IF only people will consider this TRUTH that I've received today. I must, and I mean, I MUST post it!

Who Is Your Enemy?
Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood.

A lot of jokes picture marriage as a battlefield. MS magazine once advised: "Marriage is the only war where you sleep with the enemy." I would rather picture the entire world as the true battlefield and your marriage as being God's smallest battle formation for winning the war.
In truth, your marriage is taking place on a spiritual battlefield, not a romantic balcony. Every married couple needs to understand the following biblical principle: Your mate is not your enemy. Picture your marriage as two people joined together in a foxhole, cooperating in battle against a common enemy. Take a good look at your own foxhole. Are you fighting the enemy or each other? As a friend of ours told me, "I was so busy standing up in the foxhole duking it out with my husband that I had no time to be involved in fighting against the real enemy."
Keep in mind that whenever you declare war on your mate, ultimately you are opposing God Himself. You are rejecting the person He provided to complete you, to meet your needs. Here's a practical test to discover if you view your mate as an enemy or as a fellow "soldier." Do you focus on the negative in your mate or on the positive? When you marry, you're so caught up in your new spouse that he or she can seem to do no wrong. But within 12,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first, you reverse the process. You are now so focused on what your mate does wrong that you are oblivious to what he or she does right!
I love Robert Lewis Stevenson's exhortation for us as we look at our spouses. He says, "Make the most of the best and the least of the worst."

Prayer: That God would make you aware of the true battle and enemy you face each day, and how you need each other on that battlefield.

Discuss: Who is your real enemy? Think back to times when you have forgotten who your real enemy was-how did that impact your marriage and family? Do you treat your mate as a partner or as an enemy? Everyone must know who their GOD is and as well as their enemy coz if they don't, they become losers of every battle they undergo.

One of my favorite verses that I've memorized for my own spirit's sake. The TRUTH shall live in me so that I may be able to make known that my SAVIOR is alive and has completely set me free. JESUS CHRIST won the Cross and defeated the enemy long time ago. That TRUTH should manifest in our lives. We are always in a spiritual warfare. RISE UP WARRIORS OF GOD! DO NOT ALLOW THE ENEMY TO DEFEAT THE PROMISE THAT WAS ALREADY GIVEN TO YOU!

SAMSUNG HOPE - Invest

INVEST - to devote time or effort; give qualities or abilities to; to devote morally or psychologically, as to a purpose; commit; to spend or devote for future advantage or benefit

At my sister's congregation, they are very specific and direct when it comes to tithes. That's where I've learned that it's not about the money really. It's about what GOD deserves and HE owns the money anyway. Good thing HE's just asking 10% of the money HE has given to you. Well, in fact, it's all HIS. Also, it's about learning to bless others. GOD gives you favor in all aspects because HE wants you to share it. As I begin to focus more on GOD this year, I have learned on my own about tithes because I've seen the mighty hands of GOD work in my life. Just like today, I've been paid again on time. I have also been learning about being generous and when my sister comes home from Manila, she always brings wise counsels. She seldom speaks but whenever she does, wise counsels come out of her mouth. One morning when Cody, my sister and I were eating at Pancake House, she uttered something about not giving tips (except when service charge is included) is "poverty mentality" and that totally struck me. It never left my mind since then. I have learned to give what is due to them. Our pastor has also shared about this. One of our outreach pastors also spoke to me about how Christians should be showing that GOD is really a GOD of Prosperity. Counsels shared to me that gave me beautiful insights. One of my words for the year is INVEST. Investing doesn't only mean money. It also speaks of your time and effort. You don't have to do big things to be able to show JESUS. Even the smallest things matter and hidden things done are more valuable - in the eyes of GOD. We should be able to show others that JESUS CHRIST truly lives in our lives. INVEST has a huge share when it comes to winning souls.

My sister was asking me to share about Hope or being generous. I find INVEST a more powerful word. I don't know. OCD! hehehe! Whenever I am trying to win a soul (I am focusing on my friends for now), I always speak out loud, "INVEST, INVEST, INVEST" because that's how you shoo the enemy away and how you get your body and mind working, as well by speaking out loud whenever you need a reminder.

Prayer of Excellence and Art of Forgiveness

I got this today from Prime Time With GOD.

I must post it. It is truly a revelation and I hope it will be to you, as well. Discern and obey.

Today's Prayer
Dear Lord, please help me become a "5-Star" Christian. I want to follow the example Jesus gave to serve others with excellence. Please help me have the right attitude toward the people in my life and to show genuine concern for others. May you be glorified in all I think, say, and do. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Learning the Art of Forgiveness

"Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us" (Luke 11:4).
"I'm sorry for speaking to you harshly last night," I said. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me to add the second and most important part of my admission. "Will you forgive me?" Without this request we have only partially repented of our sin. It is important to humble ourselves before those we sin against. This is repentance. If we only say we are sorry we are only stating remorse for our actions.
Jesus modeled this in the Lords Prayer: "Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us" (Luke 11:4). When I owned my advertising agency I once filed a lawsuit against a client who refused to pay a $140,000 bill. However, the Lord instructed me that because I had also sinned in the situation, I was to drop the suit. My next move was to talk to my former client. I tried phoning him, but he wouldn't return my calls. Finally, I reached his secretary and said, "I want you to take this message down and give it to your boss, word for word - no changes: 'I have sinned against you. I know that I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I ask your forgiveness for filing the lawsuit against you. You are no longer obligated to pay the balance you owe me if you don't feel you owe it.'"
I could hear the secretary begin to cry on the other end of the line. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. About an hour later, my former client called. We hadn't spoken for six months. We reconciled the relationship.
The next few years were incredibly difficult because of the financial setback I suffered, but God provided for my needs. Looking back, I realize that this was my Judas Test. I passed the test when I let go of my resentment and asked to be forgiven, and God was glorified in the situation.

It has been sung in our congregation already but I feel the need to feature it now. I boldlessly focus on GOD whenever I worship. Not my needs but what GOD deserves from me.

I also like what Kuya Jay (music leader) said earlier, "We cannot do the most difficult things but because GOD believes in us, we can do them." And that HE makes it possible for the spiritual so that our physical can follow.
