We are always in a SPIRITUAL WARFARE!!!
After my dad's accident, I saw the symptoms. I kept it to myself. I know but I need to know more.
When people can focus on what they can see such as the physical and the internal body, I focused on the spiritual. I hunger to take up Psychology to better understand the differences of science from the spiritual aspect. For now, I deeply know that everywhere and everything is a spiritual warfare. The spiritual battle is indeed more than what our eyes can see.
Yesterday, my dad was triggered to do something that he was not allowed to do. This caused my mom to worry and switch her emotional alarm. I stayed calm. If my mom could not be strong, I had to be. For my dad, at least. I tried to stay on course. The first and last resort I'd like to do is ask for help from our Pastor for spiritual deliverance. Not a simple one, I must say. But then, he isn't here until July so I asked help from another spiritual leader who has been a real friend to me. Kuya Israel. A man of GOD who has a heart for GOD's people and ministry. He offered his time with us this morning to observe and know more about my dad's situation. He then saw a lot of aspects. The root of it all and the series of deliverance needed for this. GOD HAS ALREADY WON THE BATTLE! This is what my heart continues to believe.
The visit of Kuya Israel gave me a new level of spiritual breakthrough. Another chance for my optimism to grow. I have been struggling with my optimism lately so I needed a boost from a spiritual leader. Based from experience, all leaders undergo struggles. Temperaments that are needed to overcome. We still control our hearts, minds, souls and spirits. We are given the freedom of choice. I'd rather do something than nothing in times like these so I won't regret anything in the end. Now, the battle has begun!!! Know your weapons.
So today, I've received my revelations to the choice I've made. The choice of staying and battling in this spiritual warfare.
First, my morning devotions from my Bible (not full article)...
Hanging on to Hope
Read: Job 31:1-40
"SOMETIMES FAITH is hanging on in the dark."These words, spoken by a wise woman, were offered as solace to a suffering friend. Sometimes things just don't make sense. Sometimes we simply can't see beyond the pain. Sometimes we can't even manage to utter a prayer.
In those dark nights - when life seems to suffocate us with sorrow - faith compels us to hang on. We've seen that Job, who suffered great losses, felt that way. Job 31 records the final words of Job's defense before GOD after his three friends filled the air with their empty explanations of why Job had suffered so greatly.
Job recounted his actions based on his heart for GOD, although he never knew what had happened in heaven to instigate his suffering. While we may learn GOD's reasons later (sometimes only in eternity), for now all that is required is for us to "hang on in the dark" until GOD's light illumines the way again.

Another one from last week (not full article)...
The Patience of Job
Read: Job 13:1-28
When something tragic happens, we often scramble to figure out why. Did I sin? Did they sin? If we didn't sin, then who sinned? Like Job's friends, we just want to affix blame so we can make some kind of sense out of the seemingly senseless. But not all suffering is the direct result of sin. Paul's thorn in the flesh was not given to him because he was such a sinner, but because GOD wanted him to understand something important about suffering. GOD said, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

An email devotional this morning (not full article)...
by Max Lucado
God is for you. Not “may be,” not “has been,” not “was,” not “would be,” but “God is!” He is for you. Today. At this hour. At this minute. As you read this sentence. No need to wait in line or come back tomorrow. He is with you. He could not be closer than he is at this second. His loyalty won’t increase if you are better nor lessen if you are worse. He is for you.

PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for my dad. Please rebuke the works of the enemy in his life and claim the kingdom of GOD upon him always. Thank you. If you have any prayer requests, you can also share them. Asking for prayer requests doesn't mean you're weak. It means your strong enough to ask for help because you cannot do it alone. All of us should unite in prayer.

Hi Hon, I was from your other blog, and read your "The Lily of the Valley". I understand your feeling. All we need to do is to pray to keep that "what if's" away.
God bless you and Cody. :)
