God's Special Favor

"...apart from Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5) ---HUMILITY

Two of the most important things we need to do to invite MORE blessings from GOD. First, humble yourself to God that you are a sinner. Second, repent (turn away from wicked, past ways) and FULLY OBEY. Tried and tested. Proven effective.

REMEMBER: SIN hinders BLESSINGS!

When you have accepted JESUS in your heart fully, He will always be faithful to you. You will be under His special favor.

"Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win FAVOR and a good name in the sight of God and man." ~Proverbs 3:3-4

"Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men." ~Colossians 3:23

God will remember you if you fear Him and honor Him. He will remember you even if you slept over prayer or forgot to read the Bible. Admit your mistakes and have a pure heart before God. Let Him cleanse you.

SPECIAL FAVOR - whether you ask in prayer or not, He will grant every desire you have.

Testimony portion:
I love this portion! hahaha! Why? This is the portion wherein I can only boast of God's love, goodness, faithfulness, grace, favor and glory in my life. Last week, my aunt was so burdened with my hair coz its kind of unruly already. hahaha! I am planning to get it done by September but then she told me to get my hair trimmed. She gave me money. God takes care of His princesses not only spiritually but also physically! Second, I was trying to find a headset that I really like for my computer for the longest time..hehehe! Then, this week, one of my friends (a new Christian) wholeheartedly gave me one. One of my friends' brother gave me one too. So it's flooding with headsets! hahaha! Free headsets! Third, yesterday, I've eaten a lot. I believe God rewards sacrifices (sorry I won't go into detail). My mom fed me a lot yesterday then after the youth fellowship at church around 7pm, one of my friends whom I invited took me out to dinner. God provides! God knows your needs even if you don't tell him. I can't pass a week without any testimony for God's glory. God's special favor remains. Do you want it too? I challenge you to give it all to God. He will never fail you. And of course, the best blessing I've received is my boyfriend. hehehe! I am so inlove with him! I am so blessed for he is after God's heart and that alone makes him so different and unique. Also, God has been faithful in giving me trials but His grace never fails to suffice me and help me overcome all of them with God's courage and strength. Apart from Him, I am nothing!

False Prophets and True Humility

1 John 4:1
"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."

I have received an email about a said prophet in our world today. The email even asked me to pass it onto others. What for? It contained info about him. How he had prophesied about all the natural disasters that happened. A true prophet never claims to be one. A true prophet is full of humility.

Proverbs 22:4
"True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life."

God will exalt a person who humbles himself. Humility in every aspect of his life. Why did Satan fall from heaven? It is because of pride. Every bit of any kind of pride not just about asking forgiveness. Also, such as, wanting to be recognized. Wanting to have a spotlight in the world. There are too many forms of pride. False humility is one. Others tend to praise themselves but then they say it is from God. If it is from God then why exalt themselves? Why not wait for others to give the praise and just keep it? Let us examine ourselves. Do we exercise humility at all times? We do not want to be like Satan and his companions, right? We still have the chance to change. God gave us that great opportunity. Now is the time. Pray for deliverance. He is our Deliverer. If you want to be a blessing, you got to change for the better.

Zephaniah 2:3
"Seek the LORD, all you humble of the land, you who do what He commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the LORD's anger."

Matthew 23:12
"For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."

The truth may hurt but the truth will set you free. When you accept God's Will in your life, you should be prepared to hear things you don't want but you sincerely need.

In the interview by Paul Bradshaw with Rick Warren, Rick said:

People ask me, What is the purpose of life? And I respond: In a nutshell, life is preparation for eternity. We were not made to last forever, and God wants us to be with Him in Heaven.

One day my heart is going to stop, and that will be the end of my body-- but not the end of me.

I may live 60 to 100 years on earth, but I am going to spend trillions of years in eternity. This is the warm-up act - the dress rehearsal.. God wants us to practice on earth what we will do forever in eternity.

We were made by God and for God, and until you figure that out, life isn't going to make sense.

Life is a series of problems: Either you are in one now, you're just coming out of one, or you're getting ready to go into another one.

The reason for this is that God is more interested in your character than your comfort.

God is more interested in making your life holy than He is in making your life happy.

We can be reasonably happy here on earth, but that's not the goal of life. The goal is to grow in character, in Christ likeness.

This past year has been the greatest year of my life but also the toughest, with my wife, Kay, getting cancer.

I used to think that life was hills and valleys - you go through a dark time, then you go to the mountaintop, back and forth.. I don't believe that anymore.

Rather than life being hills and valleys, I believe that it's kind of like two rails on a railroad track, and at all times you have something good and something bad in your life.

No matter how good things are in your life, there is always something bad that needs to be worked on.

And no matter how bad things are in your life, there is always something good you can thank God for.

You can focus on your purposes, or you can focus on your problems.

If you focus on your problems, you're going into self-centeredness,'which is my problem, my issues, my pain.' But one of the easiest ways to get rid of pain is to get your focus off yourself and onto God and others.

We discovered quickly that in spite of the prayers of hundreds of thousands of people, God was not going to heal Kay or make it easy for her.

It has been very difficult for her, and yet God has strengthened her character, given her a ministry of helping other people, given her a testimony, drawn her closer to Him and to people.

You have to learn to deal with both the good and the bad of life.

Actually, sometimes learning to deal with the good is harder. For instance, this past year, all of a sudden, when the book sold 15 million copies, it made me instantly very wealthy.

It also brought a lot of notoriety that I had never had to deal with before. I don't think God gives you money or notoriety for your own ego or for you to live a life of ease.

So I began to ask God what He wanted me to do with this money, notoriety and influence. He gave me two different passages that helped me decide what to do, II Corinthians 9 and Psalm 72

First, in spite of all the money coming in, we would not change our lifestyle one bit. We made no major purchases.
Second, about midway through last year, I stopped taking a salary from the church.

Third, we set up foundations to fund an initiative we call The Peace Plan to plant churches, equip leaders, assist the poor, care for the sick, and educate the next generation.

Fourth, I added up all that the chu rch had paid me in the 24 years since I started the church, and I gave it all back. It was liberating to be able to serve God for free.

We need to ask ourselves: Am I going to live for possessions? Popularity?

Am I going to be driven by pressures? Guilt? Bitterness? Materialism? Or am I going to be driven by God's purposes (for my life)?

When I get up in the morning, I sit on the side of my bed and say, God, if I don't get anything else done today, I want to know You more and love You better. God didn't put me on earth just to fulfill a to-do list. He's more interested in what I am than what I do.
That's why we're called human beings, not human doings.

Happy moments, PRAISE GOD.
Difficult moments, SEEK GOD.
Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD.
Painful moments, TRUST GOD.

God's Peace in your Lovelife

"Apart from Him, we are nothing."

I always remember what my youth pastor once said, "You know if that person is the one if there's peace."

Love rejoices with the truth. If it abides by God's rules then it is a peaceful and beautiful relationship.

Peace is when you know you can be yourself without hassles and worries. Without thinking how the other person will react. You won't worry coz you know he/she will accept you no matter what. Peace is when you feel it's not a contest with other people to win his/her heart. Peace is when you can trust God even if he/she is apart from you. Peace is when you can surrender to God your future spouse knowing that He'll give you the best. Peace is being your whole self and knowing that he/she is willing to grow with you. Peace is when you can show the side of you that is not pleasing but knowing that he/she won't leave you but let you grow spiritually and emotionally. Peace is when you can worship God and pray together. Peace is when there is no guilt, no shame and no restrictions coz you know it is God's blessing to you. Peace is when you never feel worthless with him/her. Peace is when he/she thinks he/she deserves you more than anything else in the world. Peace is when you are contented in God. Peace is when he is willing to give you all the alone time with God. Peace is when you can have God as the center of your relationship.

By God's amazing grace, I am what I am today. I have what I have today. I am blessed with a wonderful boyfriend and God's peace. I am blessed with a peaceful and joyful relationship with one of God's beautiful creations.

GPT and GPW

You're probably wondering what GPT and GPW mean. God's Perfect Timing and God's Perfect Will. I've known these words for a long time now but then it has really occurred to me recently how important it is to learn what they really mean and how/when do they happen.

For my lovelife, God's revelations flooded. I surrendered my lovelife to God and in His perfect timing, He gave me a beautiful blessing.

After I was transformed, I struggled in winning souls. I depended on what I can do. I have learned that God has His perfect timing. No matter what you do. All you can do is share and be there for others. Ask for a heart for people. Not just commitment but LOVE. Best of all, surrender everything to Him.

God's Perfect Will...it was stated in the Bible that God can choose whatever He can do with you. He chose the pharaoh who imprisoned the Israelites. He chose to harden his heart for the Israelites. He chose Moses, a man who complained a lot, to lead His people. He chose the strong man to contradict and the weak man to lead. How awesome is His will, huh? Amazingly profound!

Testimony:
I have been trying to win 3 of my closest friends. They've been my friends for 10-12 years now. I never want to go to heaven without them. Well, the worst is that, we can be in heaven and we can actually see the souls burning in hell. How painful would that be to see your loved ones there? Anyway, one of them (friend #1) contacted me to meet up with me. We almost didn't meet coz of my job but then I left it for the sake of that one soul. I could discern that God has asked me to come back to my province and tip the scale. When we met, she told me that she's going to leave for Manila the next day. I told myself, "How amazing it is to listen to that still small voice and obey." She was so willing to accept Christ, be delivered and be discipled. I won't share all the details as they are very confidential. She accepted Christ that afternoon. God won her right then and there! She is God's now. I was and still am overwhelmed with joy! Now, one of them again (friend #2) has been confiding in me. She has been listening to my counsels. Counsels all from the Bible. Scripture verses. Whatever we do and say, we should always direct people to the spiritual..to God's Word..to GOD! Also, we should never worry coz God has His own perfect timing and will. We can always worry and get stressed but God knows everything. God knows what to do. He has a purpose for everything. I have been worrying about these souls but then God let me learn that He can do miracles. He can move mountains. Like what He did to my life. Act on your faith. Faith without deeds is useless. (James 2:14-26)

A beautiful blessing..part 2

Now I feel confident to say that he is my heart's desire. My GPW (God's Perfect Will) and GPC (God's Perfect Choice). Why?

1 Corinthians 13:1-8
1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails...

These verses always echo in my head ever since I've met this man. Also, I've had a revelation that was revealed to me twice now. It coincides with our love story. I'll just share one verse though.

Genesis 2:22
"...HE (God) brought her to the man."

A revelation I've asked from God. Every relationship has ups and downs and ours isn't exempted. I have learned a lot in just 6 months. This man, who I'll gladly name Cody (well his parents named him that hehehe), taught me a lot of things. He is not just after making up after every argument. He is not after my body or my face (Well, thats a bonus, as what he always says hahaha). He is after the growth of my character. He brings out the best in me. Insists on getting rid of my past struggles and helping me through them (by being hard on me hahaha jk). He is very loyal. God has given more revelations through other people but sorry I won't state everything in here anymore. hehehe!

Things I have learned:
1.) Love/Marriage knows nothing about giving up. Once you've opened your mind to giving up, it ruins the purpose of love. Giving up is running away. If you give up now, you'll always be giving up. Learn to stand strong with God's grace, hope, help and love. How will you learn to grow together if you give up and not work things together? One of the marriage problems is a soul who easily gives up. God will not give you a problem that you can't bear. He is always there. Do you think God ever gave up on us? No. Why? It is because of LOVE.

2.) Be selfless. Do not be a "me-monster". hehehe! This life is not about you. It is about our Creator and His plans and will for our lives. Focus on God and others (loved ones). Always pray and consider God's will and revelations. Just listen and obey. He won't fail you and He'll give you the best. There are good things but there are sad things too. These sad things are given to you for a purpose. You have a purpose in life. That is to live your life walking with God. Apart from Him, we are nothing. God gives us problems to make us tougher. Tougher and worthy of His Kingdom someday.

3.) We cannot give what we don't have. Know and recognize what you have and give it. What is love? God is love. 1 Corinthians 13. Now that you know, give it. Share it with someone.

4.) Do not instill fears to your partner. Only let him/her know about fear in God and everything will follow. If someone fears God then he/she will be afraid to hurt others coz that will displease God.

5.) Speak less. Stop saying negative things that will hurt the one you love.

6.) Expect less. If you have received God's revelations in your relationship then surrender it to Him. He knows what to do. Only expect more from God not from people. God is an all-knowing God. Nothing will ever escape Him. Focus on making yourself holy and worthy of God's love not on others' mistakes so you'll cease on expecting more from others. Disappointment comes to those who expect a lot from others. Expect and hope in God alone and He will never disappoint you.

7.) Surrender your past and present struggles to God. He is always working in you. He will change you in ways you can never imagine. Encourage your partner always and be his/her strength not his/her weakness. Well, God is our strength. Rely on God alone. He is always ever so faithful even if we aren't. Stand by His promises coz He is a Promise Keeper. Surrender your relationship to Him and He will bless everything you have. Put God first. Put God as the center of your relationship. Always ask Him what He wants to happen. Always pray for your partner. He loves it when you consider Him in every aspect of your life and you'll feel every blessing...every bit of His beautiful love for you!

2 Corinthians 12:9
9But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

7 is a perfect number so that's all for now. hehehe!

Testimony portion:
I've lost my internet connection for more than a month coz I've been moving from one place to another coz of certain circumstances. I have pulled out the internet antenna and cables so I had to schedule the installation from my ISP. This week, I have been praying that I will have my internet back today (June 26,2008 - Thursday) coz it is Cody and I's 2nd monthsary. I went to the wireless center last week but then the agent said I will be contacted for my schedule but no one called so I had to go back to the center. Someone called me that day (Tuesday). She said she'll try to send contractors Wednesday or maybe Thursday onwards. No one came yesterday so I called up the hotline again. The agent said my schedule was Friday. Pretty sad but I just accepted. Thursday which was today, while I was working, one unregistered phone number sent me a text message. One of the internet installers. Amazing! Thursday 10am. Just right after Cody sent me a message. Another answered prayer with a yes. Second one, I prayed for revelations just this week, He gave me enough at the very exact time I needed them. God used people such as my godmother and one of my faithful girl friends for those beautiful revelations based on God's Word. All the glory belongs to God alone! He is so amazing! He answers my prayers positively...believe and you'll get positive answered prayers too!

I must confidently say that God has blessed me with a very goodlooking boyfriend with blue eyes and a sexy body. hahaha! He also have the good character and attitude. Very wise convictions. Faithful to God. Good positive views on things. Wise thinking. Patient and loving heart. Prays a lot for me..for us! He cares so much about my emotional and spiritual growth. Very understanding. Hardworking. Knows his potentials and uses them. He does not idle with worthless things. Rational and stable emotions. He thinks about a bright future together. Very good with finances. Wise spender. Obedient (to me hahaha). Very humble spirit. Not easily influenced coz he believes that "bad company corrupts good character" (we love this verse hahaha). Very much single (but taken) and loyal to me. Last but the best, GOD completes him. GOD is his everything.

To you honey, happy 2nd monthsary! My love for you grows stronger everyday. I only desire to love you more each day of my life. You are my answered prayer (with a yes, of course). I am always willing to work things out with you coz I can never see myself spending the rest of my life with any man but you. The only difference from my past relationships is that GOD has WILLingly given you to me. God bless you more! Let GOD always be the center of our relationship. May we always glorify GOD through our relationship.

One of my favorite verses. It applies to all kinds of prayer requests. Tried and tested. Proven effective.

Psalm 84:11
"For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
the LORD bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold
from those whose walk is blameless."

Here goes my testimony:
I am currently studying in Manila for my passion (given by God) in Culinary. I traveled for 4 hours to Manila last week just to arrive there with heavy rains. There was a typhoon with the signal # 3. I arrived 1 1/2 hour early for my class. I couldn't go anywhere but the terminal coz I didn't bring an umbrella. I sat there for 1 1/2 hours. I kept on calling my school's phone but no one was answering. I decided to buy a ticket and boarded the bus. After a few minutes (8:30am), I called up CIA (Culinary Institute of Aristocrat). The secretary said they were going to resume our classes that day. I got worried and really sad coz I didn't want to be absent ever. For the first time in my life. hahaha! I switched off my phone and started praying. I prayed for God's favor and will. Of course, deep in my heart, I wanted the classes to be suspended. After 3-5 minutes, I turned my phone back on. I got a message from a cellphone number that is not registered in my phone saying that our chef suspended our Culinary classes due to storm. Amazing, huh? God is so good! He is always faithful even if we aren't. All the glory goes back to God! He alone will increase in my life..in our lives!
